Privacy Policy

How Calcular.online handles visit data, cookies, local storage, advertising and contact messages, in line with the LGPD and the GDPR.

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, which personal data Calcular.online processes, why, for how long and what rights you have. It applies to every page of calcular.online and follows Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are (data controller)

Tiago J. Adami operates Calcular.online (calcular.online) and is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

For any privacy matter, get in touch through the contact form.

You can also write to [email protected].

2. Data we process

We process only what is necessary to operate the site, measure usage in aggregate, display advertising and reply to your messages.

  • Visit records: a SHA-256 hash of the IP address (the raw IP is never stored), country of origin (Cloudflare CF-IPCountry header), browser family, device type, page visited and date and time.
  • Session identifier: a random identifier stored in a cookie, only if you consent to statistics cookies. Without that consent, we use a daily pseudonymous identifier derived from the IP hash and the browser, which is not stored on your device.
  • Contact form: name, email and message. They are sent by email and are not stored in our database.
  • Data typed into calculators: processed only to produce the result and may be saved in your browser’s localStorage, without leaving your device.
  • Google Analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, device, browser and traffic source, collected by Google to measure the audience. Google Analytics cookies are stored only if you consent to statistics cookies; without that consent, Google receives only cookieless signals with no identifier stored on your device (Google Consent Mode).

We do not create user accounts and we do not sell personal data.

3. Cookies and local storage

Statistics and advertising cookies are stored only after you give the corresponding consent. You can change your choice at any time (see section 9).

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site may display Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. To opt out of the use of cookies by other third-party vendors for personalized advertising, visit www.aboutads.info/choices.

Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the Google Privacy Policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through Google’s certified consent management platform (IAB TCF). For all other visitors, we use our own cookie notice. Without consent for advertising, any ads shown are limited or non-personalized and do not rely on advertising cookies.

5. Legal bases

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent (LGPD, art. 7, I; GDPR, art. 6(1)(a)): statistics and advertising cookies and identifiers. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legitimate interest (LGPD, art. 7, IX; GDPR, art. 6(1)(f)): security, abuse prevention, operation of the site, necessary cookies and aggregate, cookie-free counting of visits.
  • Handling your request (LGPD, art. 7, V; GDPR, art. 6(1)(b)): using contact form data to reply to your message.

6. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with providers needed to run the service: Google (Google Analytics audience measurement and AdSense advertising, according to your consent) and Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery network and security, which processes requests and reports the country of origin).

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. In those cases, the international transfer relies on the safeguards they adopt, such as standard contractual clauses, in line with art. 33 of the LGPD and Chapter V of the GDPR.

7. Retention

  • Visit records: kept for up to 13 months.
  • Contact messages: remain in the mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request, according to the mailbox retention policy.
  • Cookies and local storage: for the periods shown in the table in section 3. localStorage data stays in your browser until you delete it.

8. Your rights

Under art. 18 of the LGPD, you may request at any time:

  • confirmation that processing exists;
  • access to the data;
  • correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, or data processed in breach of the law;
  • data portability;
  • deletion of data processed on the basis of consent;
  • information about the entities with which we share data;
  • information about the possibility of not giving consent and the consequences of refusing;
  • withdrawal of consent.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR also grants you the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country and, in Brazil, with the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Because we store only IP hashes and pseudonymous identifiers, we may need additional information (such as your browser’s session identifier) to locate records associated with you.

To exercise your rights, use the contact form. We will reply within the time limits set by law.

You can also write to [email protected].

9. Managing your consent

On your first visit you can accept all, reject all or customize your choices. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page or through the button below.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may impair features such as language selection and form security. To manage Google’s personalized advertising, use Google Ads Settings.

In regions where consent is collected through Google’s certified platform, the same link opens Google’s preferences panel.

10. Children

Calcular.online is a general-audience site and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a child’s legal guardian and believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us so that we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. When a change is significant, we will highlight a notice on the site and, if necessary, ask for your consent again.

This privacy policy applies to Calcular.online at calcular.online.
