Time Zone Converter
Compare the time in up to 8 time zones with a main zone: pick a time on the timeline and see the matching time in each place.
Main time zone
Search by abbreviation (EST, BRT, CEST), offset (UTC+3, UTC-05:30), IANA name (Europe/Berlin), city or country.
Times use each zone's current UTC offset, updated automatically when daylight saving time starts or ends. Future changes are not predicted.
How the time zone converter works
Choose the main time zone and scroll its timeline, which shows the whole day in that zone in 30-minute steps. When you click a time (or use the arrow keys), each card shows the matching time, date and difference in the other zones. The Now button goes back to the current time, and the shades of the timeline mark night, dawn or dusk and daytime.
Add up to 8 time zones to compare. The search accepts the zone abbreviation (EST, EDT, BRT, CEST, JST), the offset from UTC (UTC+3, UTC-5, UTC+05:30), the zone name in the IANA time zone database (America/New_York, Europe/Berlin), the city or the country. You can switch between the 12-hour and 24-hour formats, and your selection is kept in this browser and in the page address, which you can share.
The time zones come from the IANA time zone database, the reference used by operating systems and browsers. The current UTC offset of each zone is checked every hour and changes on its own when daylight saving time starts or ends; when a government changes the rules at short notice, the adjustment is made by hand. Times use the current offset and do not predict future daylight saving changes.
