Frequently asked questions
How is the CTS calculated?
Computable remuneration ÷ 12 for each full month worked in the period, plus ÷ 360 for each extra day. The computable remuneration is the salary, family allowance and regular variable pay plus one sixth of the gratification of the period.
When is it deposited?
In the first 15 days of May (for November to April) and of November (for May to October). In 2026 the deadlines are May 15 and November 15.
Does the 9% gratification bonus count?
No. Only the gratification itself enters the computable remuneration, at one sixth; the extraordinary bonus of Ley 30334 is not remuneration.
Who is entitled to CTS?
Private-sector workers with an average working day of at least four hours. Small enterprises pay half and microenterprises do not pay it for workers hired after their REMYPE registration.
Did the October 2026 minimum wage increase change the CTS?
Yes, for the November 2026 deposit: the family allowance is 10% of the new minimum wage (S/ 1,230), so it is S/ 123 instead of S/ 113.
How the Peru CTS calculator works
This calculator estimates the CTS (Compensación por Tiempo de Servicios, the Peruvian severance deposit) that employers must make in May and November 2026. It is meant for private-sector workers and employers in Peru who want to check a deposit before the deadline. Choose the deposit, enter the full months and extra days worked in the period, the monthly basic salary, any regular variable pay as a monthly average, and whether you receive the family allowance. In the gratification field, type the amount actually received in the semester, or leave it blank to estimate a full gratification.
The computable remuneration is the basic salary plus the family allowance and the regular variable pay, plus one sixth of the gratification of the period (DS 001-97-TR, art. 18). The deposit is that amount divided by 12 for each full month plus divided by 360 for each extra day (art. 21), and it must reach the worker's bank account in the first 15 days of May and November (art. 22). The family allowance is 10% of the minimum wage: S/ 113 up to September 2026 and S/ 123 from October 2026, when the minimum wage rose from S/ 1,130 to S/ 1,230. Small enterprises deposit half and microenterprises none.
Example: a worker with a basic salary of S/ 2,500.00 and the family allowance, six full months worked for the November 2026 deposit, and no gratification typed. The estimated July gratification is S/ 2,613.00 (salary plus the S/ 113.00 allowance in force in June), so one sixth is S/ 435.50. The computable remuneration is S/ 2,500.00 + S/ 123.00 + S/ 435.50 = S/ 3,058.50, and six months out of twelve give a CTS of S/ 1,529.25, due by 11/15/2026. This is an estimate: it ignores unpaid absences, early terminations and your employer's own payroll records.
